Thrive CRM Tool
A homegrown CRM Tool was created by a talented team in Australia to support contact management within a regional church system, from local, to schools, to the regional conference level. The complex multi user, multi function tool wasn't receiving the use they had hoped for, so asked for some help.
The Challenge
-
In doing user interviews it became readily apparent the site was overly flexible trying to accommodate all user types (5 Roles/Personas identified), causing it be overwhelming.

-
Navigation/Information Architecture was inconsistent from one section to the next, and would move users to a different section without warning, causing confusion.
-
The lack of clear visual cues left users not sure what to do next. The Dashboard seemed more like an internal page than a welcoming front door with intuitive next steps.

The Strategy
-
Using the the existing content and maintaining the task intent, the navigation and user flows were untangled and reworked, removing loops, creating logical workflows.

-
The dashboard was designed to be modular, accommodating the most frequently used tools, based on role, rather than displaying everything to everyone.
-
Tools that were requested in interviews were added for future rollouts (ie Kanban cards, Team view of calendar)

-
Worked with Graphic Designer to update design styles and design system.
